Today is Independence Day. Not the one where Will Smith gets rid of the aliens that blew up the White House, but the one where we gather with family and friends to relax and celebrate the birth of America. This year, my Independence Day involved a day on the lake, a cookout, my first sparklers ever, the always awesome Indianapolis fireworks display, and a few photographs along the way.
My husband and I returned to the same spot where we first watched the fireworks together four summers ago, where we said our first "I love you"s, and where he proposed to me. It's not an ideal spot for fireworks photos, but love and tradition had to win out ♥
