Chase is 4! {Portraits}

We had the pleasure of playing with this little guy a few weeks ago.  He's hilarious, cute as a button, and loves the camera (until there are slides to play on).  His grandfather's house backs up to Geist Reservoir and provided a BEAUTIFUL scene for some portraits.  Then we took him to a nearby playground to let him run around and grab a few candids.  So much fun!!!

The C. Family {Portraits}

Busy, busy day!!  After Monique and Emmanuel's engagement session, we headed out to Cantigny Park in Wheaton, IL for a family session.  I learned a very valuable lesson today -- some kids will sit and smile at the camera, and some....won't.  And that's OK!!  Not every shoot has to go the same way!  While we weren't able to get the posed portraits we were hoping for, we still captured the fun and silliness of this high-energy family.  And let's face it, posed or running at top speed, these are still some of the cutest kiddos around :-)

Monique & Emmanuel {Engagement}

This weekend we traveled to Chicago for an engagement shoot with Monique and Emmanuel.  We're shooting their wedding next August and they wanted to take advantage of the beautiful fall colors for their engagement pics.  We met them at Osaka gardens by the Museum of Science of Industry in downtown Chicago.  It was FREEZING out but they were total troopers!  They're a sweet and adorable couple and their love absolutely shines through their photos!!  We can't wait for August!!!!!!

Becky & Jim {Engagement}

Becky is one of my very best friends and she and her fiance, Jim, are just as adorable as can be.  They are getting married in September and I'm a little bummed I won't get to shoot their wedding, but I'm so excited because I get to be IN it!!!!!  And, because they're awesome, they let me follow them around the city and take some engagement pictures :-)  So much fun!
